The Y is the largest provider of licensed child care in our community, welcoming children from over 4,000 families across 75 licensed child care sites annually! We also look forward to providing a safe space for 5,000 children to learn new skills and make new friends through our Day Camp programs.
The Y looks for creative ways to connect people with programs and services online when face-to-face interaction isn’t possible. Whether at a child care centre, swimming pool, or employment centre, the Y creates a safe space for human interaction and connection.
The Y supports youth in launching their businesses through our youth entrepreneurial programs. We also provide youth with opportunities to develop new skills and build positive social connections as they transition into adulthood in our Youth Services programs.
The Y partners with local hospitals and health services to deliver rehabilitation programs for individuals recovering from cancer, cardiac incidents and living with chronic health conditions.
The Y connects with over 5,000 unemployed and underemployed individuals each year, supporting them on their journey to meaningful employment opportunities through our Employment Services Centres.
Youth Services programs provide opportunities for youth to earn certificates, high school credits, and volunteer hours. We also connect youth to bursaries and scholarships so that they can access post-secondary education. The Y’s Immigrant Services program delivers English as a Second Language Classes to new Canadians settling in our community.
At the Y, you belong to something more. Participants are part of a movement that is committed to building healthy communities by inspiring people to reach their full potential.
